CCP Student Make the News as an Exceptional Athlete AND Scholar!
Diamond Hansford, a quarterback on Northwestern High School’s varsity football team, was profiled in the local newspaper, the Hyattsville Patch, for his outstanding work on the field, and in the classroom! Since joining the team, Diamond has maintained a 3.5 grade point average while expertly maintaining his leadership role on the team.
Diamond credits his mother influence as one of the driving forces of his focus and motivation. She is his role model, and constantly encourages him to give his all to both his academics and his extracurricular activities.
After graduation, Diamond plans to continue his education and pursue a major in business management and a minor in music. He has applied to a number of colleges, but has his heart set on James Madison University. He is also actively applying to numerous scholarship programs to help cover college costs!
Congratulations to Diamond for all of his hard work, and we wish him all the best as he continues to exemplify the term “student athlete”.
