(CCP), is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that offers school-site and community-based college access and career exploration services to elementary, middle, and high school students throughout Prince George's County and the greater DC Metro area. We strive to ensure that each student we reach graduates from high school with a plan for achieving their educational and career goals.

Announcements
College and Career Pathways, Inc. would like to recognize two of our new community partners for their generous support of our Northwestern High School Program site.
- The John Crosland Family Donor Advised Fund has recently contributed $5,000 to support the Northwestern program during the 2010-2011 school year.
- Lovely Day Photo Works has donated $200 to sponsor Northwestern students’ summer field trip to visit NASA in August.

Scholarship Spotlight
The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program
The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program was established by the International Academic Opportunity Act of 2000, with the goal of providing students with diverse backgrounds the opportunity to study abroad in myriad countries and regions. The scholarship program accomplishes this goal by supporting undergraduate students who might otherwise not participate due to financial constraints. Since its inception, the program has awarded scholarships to approximately 6,428 U.S. undergraduate students from around the nation, who have studied in 111 countries worldwide.
Student Deadline: October 5, 2010
Postmark Deadline: October 8, 2010
Advisor Deadline: October 12, 2010
Scholarship Awards: Award amounts will vary depending on the length of study and student need with the average award being approximately $4,000. If you receive the award, you are then eligible to receive an additional $3,000 Critical Need Language Supplement from the Gilman Scholarship Program for a total possible award of up to $8,000.
